The vision for the New England Prayer Center began 15-Years ago with the goal of serving as a strengthening influence and unifying force for the churches and communities throughout New England regardless of denominational affiliation. To this end, the NEPC has dedicated itself to building a ground level and faith based ministry where all people are welcomed to seek God for healing of the mind, the body, and the spirit.
The Ministry
The New England Prayer Center holds Jesus Christ as its spiritual core, and administers His promise of hope and healing through prayer to all people. When we cast forth the nets, it is the power of prayer in the nets that brings about positive change, just as it is through the power of prayer that all of humanity will be served, supported, and afforded the right to thrive.
Prayer at the NEPC takes on many forms:
Prayer through personal and private healing can be evidenced in the hospital room of an eight month old infant diagnosed with kidney failure who is ministered to by a healing team, or the bedside of an elderly man in hospice seeking an honorable and peaceful passing;
Prayer through weekly group meetings offers profound teachings and personal ministry to all who are in attendance through the sharing of biblical wisdom which teaches skills of living for the mind, body, and spirit;
Prayer through a calendar of conferences, seminars, weekend retreats, and special events inspires participants to become connected and unified through the dynamic example and extraordinary experiences of others. Specific examples of recent events are:
- “The Breaking Point” – A Woman’s Conference – “When we reach the breaking point, we then become truly transformed.”
- “For Men Only” – A Men’s Conference – “When we erase the question marks of uncertainty, we are able to heal the scars of past failures.”
- “The Picture of Health” – A Conference on Well Being – “When we achieve true prosperity, we are happy, holy, healthy, and at peace.”
- “I Do” – A Marriage Conference – “When we build strong and healthy marriages, they flourish through unconditional love.”
- “Breathe” – A Worship & Art Symposium – “When we open ourselves to the arts, we become participants that resonate with creativity.”
The New England Prayer Center is dedicated to serving as a humanitarian force within the New England community, as well as a partnership with other national and international mission organizations who seek to serve the global common good. This work can most recently be seen in:
1. The Africa Mission which sought to serve the Maasai Tribe of a remote area of Kenya by providing spiritual and physical healing, as well as the financial support and expertise to dig new wells which have provided the people with clean drinking water.
2. The Shoes for Haiti collective where the NEPC in concert with other missions sought to serve the earthquake ravaged people of Haiti by providing 8,000 pairs of shoes subsequent to the disaster.
3. The Sri Lanka Project which supported the rebuilding of a Village subsequent to the Tsunami of 2004. |
